When and where is the 2025 Honolulu Pride Parade & Festival?

The Honolulu Pride Parade takes place on Saturday, October 18, 2025 with a kick off at 3:00pm, along Kalākaua Avenue in Waikīkī, followed by the Honolulu Pride Festival at the Waikīkī Shell and Diamond Head Greens starting at 5pm. For more information, check our events page for full details.

Is Honolulu Pride free to attend?

Yes! The parade and festival are free and open to the public. All are welcome to join us in celebrating LGBTQIA+ pride, joy, and resilience.

Can I participate in the parade or have a booth at the festival?

Absolutely! Parade and vendor applications are open. Visit our Parade and Festival section to register your float, walking group, or booth.

Is Honolulu Pride family-friendly?

Yes! We welcome all ages and have inclusive programming that celebrates families, keiki (children), kūpuna (elders), and everyone in between.

Will there be food and drinks available?

Yes! We’ll have a variety of local food vendors and refreshments, including non-alcoholic options. IDs will be checked at bars for 21+ guests.

What should I expect with bag checks at the festival?

All bags will be subject to search upon entry. For your safety and the safety of others, security personnel will be conducting bag checks at the gate.

Here’s what to expect and what’s allowed:

  • Small bags and backpacks are permitted but will be searched.
  • Outside food and drinks are not allowed, except for:
    • One factory-sealed water bottle per person
    • Food for infants or those with medical needs
  • Reusable water bottles are allowed if empty upon entry—there will be refill stations available inside.
  • Chairs, umbrellas, and coolers are not permitted.
  • No alcohol, illegal substances, or weapons of any kind are allowed.
  • No signs or flags with poles or sticks (handheld only).
  • No pets (service animals are permitted with proper identification).
  • No laser pointers, professional cameras, drones, or recording equipment.

We recommend traveling light, being prepared for a quick bag check, and arriving early to avoid lines. If you’re unsure about an item, better to leave it at home or check in with security before entering.

Is the festival space accessible?

We are committed to making Honolulu Pride accessible to all. Most of the festival grounds are ADA compliant, and we offer accommodations where possible. Please reach out via our contact form if you have specific accessibility needs.

Are pets allowed at Honolulu Pride Festival?

We love animals, but due to crowd size and safety concerns, only service animals are permitted at the parade and festival grounds.

Where can I park for Honolulu Pride?

There is limited on-site parking at the Waikīkī Shell, so we highly encourage attendees to arrive early or consider alternative transportation options.

Here are your best parking options:

  • Waikīkī Shell / Kapiʻolani Park lots – Limited public parking is available in the lots surrounding the Waikīkī Shell and along Monsarrat Avenue and Paki Avenue. These fill up quickly!
  • Street parking – Metered street parking can be found throughout Waikīkī and the surrounding neighborhood, but watch for time limits and no-parking zones.
  • Honolulu Zoo Parking Lot – Located on Kapahulu Avenue, just a short walk from the Shell. This is a paid lot that usually has open spaces earlier in the day.
  • The Queen Kapiʻolani Hotel Parking Garage – Paid garage nearby (especially great if you’re a guest or visiting the hotel).
  • Public transportation – TheBus has several stops in walking distance to the Shell. Rideshare drop-offs (Lyft/Uber/taxis) are also a great option. Accessibility parking will be available at the venue—please email us in advance if you require accommodations.

Roads will reopen by 6:00 PM. Please plan ahead for traffic delays and consider using rideshare, carpooling, or public transportation.
